The Kawai ES-120 features the Responsive Hammer Compact keyboard, with 88 weighted keys. Like an acoustic piano, this model thus uses different hammer weights, resulting in natural playing feel. Thanks to the improved damping material, the noise from the keyboard is kept to a minimum
The ES-120 features beautiful samples of the world-famous Shigeru Kawai concert grand piano, which is played in many concert halls around the world and is often selected by professional pianists. Using Harmonic Imaging sound technology, the sounds of all 88 keys are reproduced very faithfully and accurately. By recording each key individually in this way, the character of the acoustic grand piano is particularly well preserved.
In addition to acoustic piano sounds, the ES-120 also offers a selection of other instrumental sounds, including electric pianos, organs, strings, acoustic and electric bass, and vibraphone.
The ES-120's stereo speaker system delivers a total gain of 20W, spread across 2 speakers. This is ideal for providing a medium-sized room with sufficient sound. The Low Volume Balance function intelligently adjusts the touch of the keyboard and the sound of the piano at a reduced volume.
The ES-120 offers a lot of useful extras such as a built-in metronome, a recording function, dual and split playing modes and 100 drum rhythms. In addition to a standard USB MIDI port for connecting to computers, the ES-120 also features integrated Bluetooth MIDI and audio technologies that allow the instrument to communicate wirelessly with supported smart devices. So by pairing the instrument with a smartphone, tablet or laptop, you can use a wide range of interactive apps or stream audio from e.g. YouTube or Spotify. You can also connect to Kawai's PianoRemote app, which allows you to adjust settings or sounds of the instrument via a user-friendly interface.
The ES-120 features a brand new design with an updated full-length keyboard control panel. The instrument weighs only 12.5 kg, making it very easy to take anywhere. This model is available in both black and white satin finish.
This stage piano comes standard with a sustain pedal. However, you can also set it up as a piece of furniture, with the accompanying HML-2 stand and F-351 triple pedal.
