The Yamaha P-S500 is a smart and portable piano that you can take anywhere! By connecting to a tablet, the Smart Pianist app gives you access to a large database of instrumental sounds, style accompaniments and hundreds of songs that you can quickly master while playing! The P-S500 features "Stream Lights" technology where lights show you which notes to play. Will the Yamaha P-S500 be in your living room? Then you can dress it up with the optional Yamaha L-300 stand and the Yamaha LP1 triple pedal piece./p>
The Yamaha P-S500 features samples from the world-famous Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos. In addition, this model features a wide range of sounds and accompanying styles. Play to your favorite music and adjust the pitch or tempo to suit your playing needs, or even mute the lead voice. The Smart Pianist app analyzes your favorite music and generates the accompanying score for you to play along with. The keys are indicated by Stream Lights that help you find your way.
Do you like to sing? The P-S500 series also features a microphone jack and Vocal Harmony, allowing you to sing along to your favorite songs and tunes.
The Yamaha P-S500 features a weighted, synthetic keyboard with 88 keys (Graded Hammer Standard). In this way, it replicates the response and playing feel of a grand piano as naturally as possible. In addition, the sustain pedal features a half-damper function, which makes the piano experience even more expressive.
Thanks to Yamaha's groundbreaking Virtual Resonance Modelling technology, the sound and resonance of a real grand piano is recreated in a unique way. This takes into account all of the interactions that take place within the instrument such as the vibration of the strings, the sound box the soundboard, sounds from dampers and pedals.
Via Yamaha's Binaural Sampling technology, the sound of the piano is sampled using specialized microphones attached to the pianist's ear. This captures all the nuances distinguished by the human ear. Thanks to this technology, a three-dimensional sound is produced, and it seems as if the sound is actually coming from the piano case, when you play with headphones. Binaural Sampling thus ensures an optimal musical experience when using headphones.
